此前，美国国际教育学会（International Eduacation Exchange)发布了《2022年美国门户开放报告》。

报告显示，STEM专业热度仍处于高位，约53%的国际生选择入读STEM专业，其中研究生STEM占比是62%，本科40%，未来STEM专业的申请会越来越激烈。

继去年新增22个STEM专业，根据《联邦公报》7月12日消息，美国国土安全部和移民局联合宣布将对STEM专业范围修订，新增加8个STEM专业领域，包括在建筑、机械、计算机、心理学和地理等，这意味着这些专业也能申请OPT延期啦！

OPT延期：STEM专业的留学生在完成学业后可以申请OPT延期，对于留学生而言，这会让他们拥有更多的实践机会，还可以增加获得H1B工作签证或绿卡的机会。

丰厚的薪资待遇：根据美国劳工局，2021年，STEM专业人员的平均年薪超9万美元，而非STEM职业的平均年薪仅仅略高于4万美元。
